Every State has a "FIPS Numerical Code" that Dairy Manufacturers are required by law to print on the label, even small on-farm processors.

Reading the codes on your dairy products is the easiest way to know where your milk is from. 

The first two digits are the State Code. By knowing your State's Code, you can be sure you are purchasing dairy items packaged right ON THE FARM! 

24= MARYLAND
42= NOT Maryland (PA)

51= NOT Maryland (VA)
26= NOT Maryland (NY)
